It’s the first time I’ve been working with Prometheus, so it is a learning experience. Here is a list of thoughts I have about the product in general : The fact that all the config is in plain-text makes it easy to build incrementally. There is no way to monitor info that is string-based and regularly changing. It’s not new by any standard other than mine, and they recently snagged the second place at the SCA brewers’ cup competition. So they are not playing. They use a filter method which is fairly different from the usual ones that I see, and make myself, so I made a few tests at home today. For a platform like FrameIO, or video players to recognize the file with the right colour space and EOTF, you’ll need to add the corresponding metadata tags to the file.
